Erase my data

Request irreversible deletion of all personal data linked to your email address (GDPR art. 17).

How to delete your HelpClinic account

You can request deletion of your HelpClinic account and its associated data at any time. Below we explain exactly how to do it, and which data we delete versus which we are legally required to keep for a defined period.

1

In the app (fastest)

Open the HelpClinic app → Settings → Profile → “Delete account”. Follow the prompts and confirm. Your account is deactivated immediately and data deletion starts automatically.

2

Via the web (no app needed)

No access to the app? Email your deletion request to gdpr@helpclinic.com with the subject “Account deletion”, or use the form below. We respond within 30 days (usually sooner).

What we delete

When you delete your account we run an anonymisation cascade: we permanently detach your identity from your data — removing your name, email, phone number and other direct identifiers — and your content (mood journal, notes, messages, avatar, voice notes) is deleted or anonymised.

What we keep, and for how long (legal obligation)

Some data we must retain for legally required periods, in a form detached from your identity:

  • Invoices and payment transactions — 5 years (Accounting Act).
  • Therapy session notes — up to 7 years (Patient Rights Act).
  • Audit and security logs — 5 years.
  • Consent records (GDPR) — kept as proof of consent.

After the retention period, data subject to legal obligations is anonymised or deleted. Details in our Privacy Policy.
